80gpasta (spaghetti or linguine)
8piecemedium shrimp, peeled and deveined
2tspolive oil
0.25tspsalt
0.5tspitalian seasoning
1tbspbutter
2clovegarlic, minced
0.5tspred pepper flakes (optional)
0.25cuphalf and half cream
1tbspgrated Parmesan (optional)
1tbspfresh lemon juice
0.5tsplemon zest
0.5tspitalian seasoning

Instructions

Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

In a bowl, season the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and Italian seasoning. Set aside.

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in the half and half cream, stirring to combine with the garlic. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Stir in grated Parmesan, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
