Step 1Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
Step 2In a bowl, season the shrimp with olive oil, salt, and Italian seasoning. Set aside.
Step 3Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Step 4In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 5Pour in the half and half cream, stirring to combine with the garlic. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes.
Step 6Stir in grated Parmesan, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
Step 7Add the cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet, tossing to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water 1 tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
